About the project

In collaboration with our friends at the Consultative Implementation and Monitoring Council (CIMC) in Papua New Guinea (PNG), we fielded Integrity Indicators (around 120 discrete questions) assessing the existence and effectiveness of access to information mechanisms (both formal and informal) in the healthcare system at the provincial level in Papua New Guinea.

Our research attempted to address a basic but powerful question: does increased access to information enhance, detract from, or make no difference to the quality of healthcare received by patients at the provincial level in PNG?  Read our Findings and each of the provincial assessments to dig into the answers.
