After attending a Wilson Center lecture called “Understanding and Responding to Attacks on Civil Society: The Rule of Politics and Law,” I asked myself: are there fair parallels between new Russian legislation and longstanding U.S. CSO laws?
While we, of course, salute every attempt at improving the effectiveness of ethics and accountability regulations, we are concerned about the way recent reforms were instigated in South Carolina.
