Global Integrity co-founded the OpenGov Hub to bring together like-minded groups in a shared space, hoping to foster increased efficiency and collaboration among organizations working towards more open and accountable governance.
In September 2011, Global Integrity – along with our co-founder Development Gateway – welcomed commitments from an initial group of 9 organizations to co-locate. A year later, the first OpenGov Hub location was opened, and the OpenGov Hub was born on October 1, 2012. By April 2014, the community had grown into a much larger space, custom fit for our purposes. We now have over 40 member organizations and have broadened our network and influence through the support for a growing network of international OpenGov Hub affiliates, as well as through hosting a variety of relevant events.
Global Integrity continues to manage the day to day operations of the OpenGov Hub, and is committed to further developing the Hub as a vehicle for increased collaborative learning, action, and influence throughout the sector.
